Speedy Implants

Get Your Dream Smile with Speedy Dental Implants

Restorative Dentistry

Fast-track to a Beautiful Smile

Dental implants offer a remarkably lifelike and lasting solution for missing teeth. However, like many patients, you may not want to wait the required healing time before you can receive your dental restoration. If you qualify, Edward Lorents, DMD, can provide Speedy Implants at his Oklahoma City, OK, practice. With this treatment, you will enjoy almost immediately restored dental function and an attractive smile upon implant surgery. At Dental Arts Center, we are proud to be the community’s go-to source for implant dentistry. Dr. Lorents is a skilled expert in the field, placing over 40 implants each month.

Are You a Candidate?

Find out if you qualify for Speedy Implants

If you need to replace one or more teeth, you may be a candidate for Speedy Implants. To qualify for treatment, however, you must have sufficient bone density. Since tooth loss often results in jawbone recession, Dr. Lorents will determine your candidacy by first taking digital images of your jaw. With Speedy Implants, you can receive an implant-supported restoration the next day, instead of waiting up to six months. He uses the latest technology, including CT scans and 3D imaging. If he sees areas of significant bone loss, he may recommend a bone graft or other type of dental implant. Additionally, to receive any type of implant, you should be in good overall health. Dr. Lorents will discuss your medical history and check for signs of gum disease before recommending treatment. With proper periodontal care, he can often restore your implants candidacy.

How Speedy Implants Work

A one-day implant process

Before surgery, Dr. Lorents will devise a personalized treatment plan. He will use your digital images to position the posts in the areas where your bone is the strongest. When he is ready to begin your surgery, he will numb your gums and jawbone. He also offers a variety of sedation options and can help you select which one is right for you. Dr. Lorents will then place the implants in your jawbone. He will insert between one and six small, screw-like posts through tiny incisions in your gums. Then he will place stitches in the area, using dissolvable sutures to reposition the soft tissues around the posts. You will wait 24 hours for your gums to heal. Dr. Lorents will then attach a temporary restoration to the implants. This prosthetic will be custom-crafted based on the impressions taken of your mouth. It will take four to six months for your jaw to heal. As the final step, Dr. Lorents will attach your permanent restoration, made from state-of-the-art materials.

Benefits of Speedy Implants

A fast, stable, and long-lasting solution

Like all types of implants, Speedy Implants offer stability and longevity. You will not face dietary restrictions, as you would with traditional dentures. If you care for your implants properly, they could last the rest of your life. Since the implants will stimulate tissue regeneration, you will not suffer from jawbone recession, changed facial proportions, or a higher risk of further tooth loss. Speedy Implants offer additional benefits beyond those of standard implants. You can receive an implant-supported restoration the next day, instead of waiting up to six months. Therefore, you can enjoy almost complete oral function while you are still healing. At the same time, unlike same-day implants, Speedy Implants require only one day for gum recovery. You are therefore less likely to suffer from inflammation and irritation once your restoration is in place.
