All About
Full Mouth Implants
Full mouth dental implants, which are also referred to as full arch dental implants when only needed to treat the upper or lower arch, involve a complete transformation in a person’s oral health and smile. These implants are an option for many patients and are the best choice for some patients. Those who are the most ideal candidates for full mouth or full arch dental implants include patients who are missing all of their teeth or who are missing many teeth and are experiencing severe decay in the remaining teeth. Often times, the decay in the last teeth standing is so severe that these teeth are no longer functional.
Experience Complete Restoration With Dental Implants
Full mouth or full arch dental implants are made from titanium and are incredibly strong screws or posts that are surgically implanted into the patient’s jawbone. Then, artificial replacement teeth are attached to the implant. The result is a new, fully-functional set of teeth that is stronger than both dentures and traditional bridges.
At the Dental Arts Center, we have created a simple, stress-free, and enjoyable process for a patient needing full mouth or full arch dental implants. Much of our success in creating amazing outcomes is due to our commitment to quality and patient satisfaction. We custom create all replacement teeth in-house, utilize the latest technology, and value great pre-op and post-op communication with the patient. Is My Jaw Strong & Healthy Enough To Support Implants?
In order to properly assess the strength and overall health of your jaw, which will ultimately determine your candidacy for implants, we will need to review 3D X-rays of your jaw, which is known as a CT Scan. If you have recently had a CT Scan, please transfer it to us or bring it along to your initial consultation. If not, we will need to perform a CT Scan at the time of your consultation. The cost of your appointment, which will vary based on whether or not you have this scan, will be provided to you at the time of scheduling.
What Is Discussed During A Consultation For Full Mouth or Full Arch Dental Implants?
During your initial in-office consultation, we will conduct a comprehensive oral examination of both your teeth and jawbone. We will also review the CT Scan of your jaw. Based on our findings, we will then review all of your surgical and restorative options and go over all benefits, risks, and alternatives to implants with you. We will also show you examples of cases that are similar to yours and show you models of different kinds of teeth and models of implants.
